- Shifts: Morning, Afternoon and Night Shifts.

- Salary: Based on the PSA Mental Health collective agreement

About the Role
Te Awakura (Adult Inpatient Group) is a 64-bed adult inpatient unit that provides 24hr care to consumers experiencing acute mental illness. South inpatient provides services to consumers in the South of Christchurch and works closely with the South outpatient team.We are passionate about working with consumers that always have their best interest, we have a supportive team culture, with opportunities for growth and development
We are seeking a Mental Health assistant to bring your enthusiasm and motivation to work with us, in return we we - ll provide you with a great opportunity to enhance your skills and have a willingness to learn.
You will be responsible for- Basic consumer care
- Assisting the clinical team with a variety of tasks
- Ensuring that our consumers have the best experience possible
- Kind and caring nature
- Excellent communication
- High levels of confidentially
- Ability to build relationships with people from all walks of life
- Previous experience in Mental Health or similar role is desirable but not essential.
