Christchurch - Healthcare Assistant

Burlington Care Centre are looking for 5x healthcare assistants to join our growing team! Working full time on a 7-day roster basis. Includes weekend and night work with a minimum of 32 hours per week. This role pays between $28.15 –$29.66

• 3 or more years previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant required (or a relevant qualification on the New Zealand Qualifications and Credentials Framework (NZQCF) at level 4)

• Providing the best practice individualised healthcare to Rest home and Hospital level residents.
• Familiarisation with care plans and provide care in accordance with individual resident notes.
• Ensuring own knowledge and work represents education received in conjunction with policies and procedures.
• Ensure changes in residents’ conditions are accurately identified, documented, and reported to senior staff
• Participate in annual review of care competencies to ensure best practice is maintained.
• Documenting progress of each resident’s progress in comprehensive and timely manner including utilising internal Qestral developed clinical software.
• Participate in Infection Prevention and Control strategies including ensuring the use of personal protective equipment.
• Participation in Health and Safety drills, training, and safety techniques.
