Automotive Technician / EV Wizzard

We tackle everything from routine servicing and diagnostics to complex battery pack repairs/upgrades and electric motor rebuilds. Our small, dynamic team is passionate about EV technology and providing top-tier solutions.

We have a unique and immediate opportunity for a skilled and enthusiastic EV Technician to join our team. Our lead technician/owner is anticipating knee surgery in the coming months and requires a capable individual to train alongside him, learn our systems, and progressively take on responsibility for workshop operations.

This role has strong potential to evolve into a permanent, long-term key position within our growing business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Performing diagnostics, servicing, and repairs on a variety of EV makes and models.
• Safely working with high-voltage (HV) battery systems, including diagnostics, repair, and component replacement.
• Maintaining a safe and organised workshop environment.
• Clearly communicating repair plans, progress, and safety protocols with the team.
• Interacting professionally with clients and representing our brand with enthusiasm.
• Managing inventory, sales, and shipping for our online store.
• Occasional short work trips doing servicing and repairs.

We are looking for someone who genuinely loves Electric Vehicles and possesses a strong technical aptitude. While formal qualifications are respected, your practical experience, problem-solving skills, and demonstrable abilities are what we value most.

• Some experience in both automotive and electronics.
• A strong understanding of, or demonstrable ability to quickly learn, high-voltage EV systems and safety protocols. (We are willing to provide specific training for the right candidate with a solid foundation).
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written) are paramount for clear understanding of technical plans and safety procedures.
• A genuine enthusiasm for Electric Vehicles

• Specific experience working on EVs.
• Relevant automotive or electronic qualifications.
