  • Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Team Leader to join Te Pātaka Kōrero
  • Library Client Services team on a permanent full-time contract.Key responsibilities:To ensure the delivery and promotion of the full range of client services (including self-service) is achieved to a consistently high standard which meet clients' needs.Coach, develop and mentor the Client Services staff to ensure they are well trained and supported in their professional development and can assist clients with access to physical and electronic collections.Lead, manage and monitor the performance of the team.Library spaces are well-maintained and meet clients' needs, and physical collections are easy to locate and use.Support the work of Te Pātaka Kōrero
  • Library to deliver and develop services and resources, contributing to a skilled, progressive and efficient workforce.

  • About youYou will be a highly organised self-starter and natural relationship builder, with demonstrated leadership ability who can lead a team to deliver high-quality library services.

You bring an inclusive, practical leadership style, thrive in a busy service environment, and are confident motivating others, balancing priorities, and adapting to change.Key requirements:Demonstrated experience in leading a successful team or project initiatives.Proven ability to develop highly effective relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.Outstanding people and communication skills including the ability to adjust to different audiences.Proven service delivery and support experience to a diverse range of clients.Ability to assess, troubleshoot and adapt workflows and processes to deliver on required outcomes with established timeframes.
