Mō te tūnga | About the roleThe Team Leader Case Management provides leadership and management to a team of up to nine case managers ensuring the provision of effective and efficient delivery of case management services, support and rehabilitation to veterans' and their whānau.The Team Leader will contribute to the overall leadership of VA frontline operations which are veteran focused.The roles will undertake the following roles and responsibilities:Lead a CM team to ensure it is high performing and resilient, delivering culturally responsive, high quality, end

-to-end service and support to veterans and their whānau.Ensure case managers are supported to take responsibility for and manage in partnership with their team leads, their health, safety and well-being.Communicate effectively with case managers to ensure a positive and focussed team environment where expectations are clear and understood.Quality assurance of service delivery within the case management team.Deliver, support and report as required to the Manager, Case Management and Rehabilitation and/ or senior leadership team.Actively promote Veterans' Affairs including the support and services veterans' are entitled to receive.The role is based in the Reserve Bank Building, Wellington CBD.

Once you have undergone training and are up to speed, there is the option of working from home up to two days a week.Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and ExperienceTo be successful in this position you will need the following skills and experience:Leadership Experience, proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams in complex, dynamic, changeable customer focussed environments, achieving outcomes and meeting key performance indicators, maintaining a positive culture and productive working environmentRelevant experience, in-depth knowledge and experience in case management and/ or rehabilitation practices or related field.

Ideally you will have an understanding of veterans' needs within the context of case management and rehabilitation requirements.Exceptional Relationship Management and communication skills, proven ability to establish maintain professional relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders, able to communicate ideas clearly and concisely with a variety of groups, in a variety of contexts, using a range of methods.Experience delivering consistent, high quality services, aligned with best practice, have a strong customer focus, sound judgement and political sensitivity, implementing improvement and innovative solutions.Nōu te rourou | What's in it for youYour skills and dedication deserve recognition, and NZDF delivers with competitive pay matched to your experience.
