What you'll do Seeking an Advisor to join the Māori Health Insights and Monitoring team.

In this role, you'll use your analytical skills to generate meaningful insights that support high-quality advice and improve health outcomes for Māori.
You'll work across the Ministry and the wider health and disability sector to contribute to Pae Ora

in a collaborative, purpose-driven environment.

Apply both quantitative and qualitative approaches to collect, analyse, and share insights that support Māori health policy and monitoring efforts,Foster strong, collaborative relationships across the Ministry and with external partners to promote equity and uphold Te Tiriti o Waitangi commitments,Use statistical tools, modelling techniques, and data visualisation to interpret health datasets and guide evidence-based decisions,Create clear and engaging reports, briefings, and presentations tailored to both technical and general audiences,Contribute to cross-agency initiatives, champion data sovereignty, and stay informed on emerging developments in Māori health data.

What you'll bring A tertiary qualification in a discipline with a strong focus on data and analytics or equivalent experience,Sound data analysis skills and a good attention to detail,An ability or experience working with real world, large data sets, and information,Experience working with analytical tool sets for data manipulation, modelling and data visualisation,Prior work or projects in the Māori Data space would be advantageous.
