You will deliver safe, effective and innovative care that is in person and whānau centred.Click here to view the position description.About the Team/Service/ LocationThe Adult Speech Language Therapy team is involved in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of difficulties with communication and swallowing in people over the age of 16.This role will provide inpatient and outpatient services at Kaitaia Hospital and in community settings across the Far North area. The 20 bed hospital has a general ward, maternity and emergency ward with all the supporting services, and provides a substantial community health service.For more information on living and working in Northland click hereAbout youWe are looking for an experienced Speech Language Therapist who builds strong, effective relationships and is committed to delivering safe, highquality, whānaucentred care.
You will have the ability to demonstrate leadership and have a focus on quality improvement and show innovation in your clinical practice.Recognised tertiary qualification in Speech and Language TherapyNew Zealand Registration and current annual practising certificate with responsible authorityMembership with NZ Speech Language Therapists Association (NZSTA)Current NZ Full Drivers LicenceComputer skills, including use of Microsoft Suite and relevant clinical programsWorks effectively and collaboratively with a multidisciplinary teamPrevious experience in a rural setting would be beneficial, however is not essential to apply.
