Thai Massage Therapist
Qualifications and experience: We are looking for applicants with at least 3 years working experience as massage therapists with particular knowledge and experience of Thai massage techniques. Ideal candidates should also have formal training and qualifications in Thai Massage Therapy from an industry recognised institute.
The roles require candidates to demonstrate extremely high levels of knowledge and professionalism and the roles will require the successful candidates to: Consult with clients to identify any medical issues and those needing attention
Develop and record treatment plans Identify problem areas and be clear in what we can and can’t achieve
Be professionally responsible and operate within capacity and advise if medical intervention is required Utilise a full range of Thai and other massage techniques as taught by one or more recognised Thai massage training schools.Massage the soft tissues of the body, such as muscles, tendons and ligaments to assist in healing.
Administer treatments to promote relaxation, improve circulation and relieve muscle tension.
Discuss any issues with clients and develop treatment plansMaintain proper standards of personal hygiene and personal presentation Maintain clean, tidy and safe massage areas.
Store and prepare massage materials safely and hygienically.
Understand and follow; all New Zealand laws and regulations relating to massage therapy, all massage industry best practice guidelines and all massage standards set by the employer.
Work with a positive attitude and follow all lawful instructions of the employer.
Advise the employer of any issues that may arise regarding clients or other employment issues in a timely manner
