ASSISTANT BUTCHERY MANAGER (2IC)

We are currently looking for an Assistant Butchery Manager (2IC) to help with the day-to-day operations of our busy Butchery Department.

About the role:

• Assist the Butchery Manager with the daily operations of the butchery area.
• Operate the bandsaw and assist in meat preparation, breaking down of carcass, cutting and packing.
• Work together with the Butchery Manager to achieved set target.
• Manage stock rotation, ordering, and minimising wastages.
• Support staff training and guide apprentices.
• Provide excellent Customer Services.
• Adhered to all compliance policies and procedures of Food Safety and Health and safety that is required of the store.
• Maintain an organised, clean, and efficient Butchery Department.
• Coaching and managing staff to their full potential.

What we need from you:

• Qualified Butcher.
• Previous management experience in the similar environment.
• Commitment to Food Safety and Health and Safety
• Dependable, punctual, and work well within a team environment.
• People management experience.
• Can work earl morning shifts and capability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-tasking.
• Can build good working relationships with the team.
• Legal right to work in New Zealand.
