Butchery Assistant Manager or Butcher - Full-time - Auckland

We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and reliable Butchery Assistant Manager or a qualified Butcher who may like to develop into this role in the future.

You will support the Butchery Manager in daily operations, ensuring excellent product quality, presentation, and maintain customer service standards that are second-to-none.

Sunday to Thursday full-time permanent role. Hours can be discussed at the interview stage.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with daily management of butchery operations
  • Support staff training, supervision, and rostering
  • Ensure high standards of food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety
  • Assist in meat preparation, breaking down of carcass meat, cutting, and packing
  • Manage stock rotation, ordering, and wastage minimisation
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient Butchery department

About You:

  • Qualified Butcher
  • Strong knife skills and good knowledge of meat cuts and preparation
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Commitment to food safety and safety & wellbeing
  • Reliable, punctual, and work well within a team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
