About the role:

Reporting to the Managing Director and Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving business performance across our automotive dealership network. Working closely with sales, service, finance, and marketing teams, you will analyse business requirements, identify opportunities for operational improvement, and develop data-driven solutions that enhance efficiency and profitability.

Your expertise will be instrumental in optimising our customer journey, from initial enquiry through to vehicle delivery and after-sales service, ensuring a seamless, personalised, and high-quality experience. Leveraging industry best practices and advanced analytics, you will support strategic decision-making and help the business stay ahead in a competitive automotive market.

Who you report to:
  • You report to the Managing Director and Operations Manager as a key member of the team.
What you’re responsible for:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across sales, service, finance, parts, and marketing to gather, document, and prioritise business requirements related to dealership operations and customer experience initiatives.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of existing processes, systems, and data (including dealership management systems and inventory tools) to evaluate current structures, identify gaps, trends, and opportunities for operational improvement and cost efficiency.
  • Monitor and report on KPIs related to sales, service performance, inventory management, and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide actionable insights to senior management to drive revenue growth and operational efficiency.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and advancements in dealership technology, making recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Assist in implementing approved recommendations for process enhancements, including support for new digital tools (e.g., Website and CRM systems) to improve customer engagement, while ensuring alignment with business objectives and monitoring adherence.
  • Managing vendor relationships and deliverables
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Business, Marketing Analytics, Data Analytics, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience in the automotive/sales/business development sector.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate dealership business needs into functional specifications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with teams and stakeholders, including dealership managers and executives.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools, and the ability to extract insights from CRM and dealer management systems.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment.
  • Knowledge of automotive industry trends, customer behaviour, and the dealership competitive landscape preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality outcomes.
  • Multilingual (Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese, or Filipino) -nice to have.
  • Full NZ driver’s licence for site visits and occasional test drives; clean record preferred.
