Team Leader

We’re growing fast in the Southern Lakes District and are looking for an experienced Team Leader to join our Queenstown crew. If you’re confident running a small team, enjoy a mix of hands-on landscaping and leadership, and take pride in delivering high-quality work, this is a role where you’ll thrive.
What you’ll be doing- Leading a small team to deliver high-end landscape construction and maintenance projects
- Planning daily/weekly work, allocating resources, and keeping jobs running smoothly and safely
- Maintaining strong client relationships and identifying upsell opportunities
- Ensuring quality standards are met across planting, lawn installation, irrigation, hardscape support, and site presentation
- Completing maintenance tasks: mowing, pruning, weed control, replanting, irrigation monitoring
- Keeping accurate records: timesheets, site updates, vehicle checks, and H&S reporting
- Setting out and assisting with retaining walls, paving, edging, pergolas, decking, and concreting
- Reading and interpreting plans
- Using levels, laser equipment, and compactors
- Supporting the PM on site with practical hardscape builds
- Confident use of tools, machinery, and safe work methods
- Proven experience in landscaping with strong hardscape and softscape capability
- At least 3 years on the tools plus leadership or team-leading experience
- Strong eye for detail and pride in producing quality work
- Good communication skills and client confidence
- Horticulture Level 4 (or working towards it), Growsafe, First Aid and Site Safe (advantage)
- Full driver licence (manual and machine operating experience a bonus)
