We’re on the lookout for experienced Diesel Mechanics to join busy teams in the Bay of Plenty.

Whether you’re based locally or keen on a fresh start in a beautiful part of NZ, we want to hear from you.

You’ll be hands-on across a wide range of diesel vehicles and equipment. Key responsibilities include:

• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
• Dismantling, repairing, and reassembling engines and components
• Replacing worn or defective parts
• Following service manuals and technical guides
• Performing scheduled servicing (oil changes, tune-ups, lubrication, etc.)
• Testing and adjusting parts for optimal performance
• Using diagnostic tools and computer systems
• Responding to breakdown callouts
• Inspecting vehicles and issuing (or advising on) roadworthiness

What we’re looking for:

• 3+ years' experience working on diesel engines in New Zealand
• Trade qualification preferred (or equivalent experience in New Zealand)
• Proven ability to work with advanced diesel diagnostics, including OEM software, electronic control systems, and emissions control technologies common in New Zealand fleets
• Applicants must have current, hands-on experience with modern diagnostic tools and diesel technologies, and be confident working with systems found in NZ’s late-model commercial and heavy diesel vehicles
• Regular work on Kenworth trucks and similar heavy-duty vehicles — experience with Cummins and PACCAR engines a strong advantage
• Own tools and reliable transport
• Minimum NZ Class 2 licence required
• Strong commitment to health & safety
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug test
• Two recent work references
