**About the Role**

Our dedicated Café team is looking for a Café Assistant/Barista to join them on a casual basis, delivering excellent service to our customers. You will be responsible for preparing coffee and other beverages. You will also be responsible for serving and collecting meals and operating the cash register.

**Some of the great things you will be doing:**
  • Taking residents', visitors', and staff food and beverage orders.
  • Serving and collecting meals.
  • Making cups of coffee.
  • Operating the register.
  • General cleaning, including café equipment.
  • Additional kitchen duties as and when required.

**About you**

This is a fast-paced environment, so you'll be someone who loves being part of the team, enjoys thinking on your feet, and can prioritise and juggle tasks with ease. With the enjoyment of helping others, some things that will support your application include:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment such as a commercial kitchen/café.
  • Barista skills - ideally, you will have previous experience in a busy café operating the coffee machine and preparing various hot beverages.
  • Have impeccable personal presentation.
  • Have exceptional interpersonal skills - it's a people role!
  • Have good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Hold a Hygiene & Food Handling Certificate (advantageous).
