Role:
Work alongside a commercial construction company who have a diverse portfolio of works on the go, now and in the foreseeable future. They often have the full package of construction from concrete stage, right through to fit out and high end finishing works.The projects you will be involved in are exciting and extensive, and no two days are the same.
This role is for a well rounded commercial carpenter who has the ability to go from working with tilt slabs and structural steel on one site, to then doing fit out and finishing works on other sites. You'll have proven experience working on building structures, installing tilt slab panels and not be afraid of working with grey gold (concrete!). Any in-situ concrete experience will be extremely beneficial.Motivation and work ethic is key here, no lazy Susans allowed!
These guys work hard, and enjoy the fruits of their labour. The projects are rewarding to see completed, and the structures industry is one of the least affected in the current climate - meaning the forward work load is consistent and busy! The main project they are working on is a motorsport facility in Hornby, as well as other substantial commercial developments.The boss is a down to earth bloke, who will often be found on the tools grafting alongside you. Sites are all located around Christchurch City.
What we are looking for:
- NZ Trade qualified carpenters
- Proven heavy commercial construction experience
- Great work ethic and attitude
- Own basic tools and equipment
- Valid site safe and EWP (bonus)
- In-situ concrete, tilt slab, and structural steel experience
