About the Role:

At Northpower, we're looking for an experienced Foreman / Team Leader to take charge of field teams,guide safe and efficient work practices, and help deliver critical electrical infrastructure projects across our network. This role is ideal for someone who's confident coordinating people, plant, and projects and isn't afraid to get stuck in and provide hands-on support when needed.

Responsibilities:

As a Foreman / Team Leader, you'll be responsible for making sure work is planned, executed, and delivered to a high standard safely, efficiently, and without rework. You'll be:

  • Leading and supporting a team in the field to complete jobs to spec
  • Scoping and planning tasks, ensuring the right people, plant, and materials are in place
  • Performing quality checks and compliance audits (WTC assessments, toolbox checks, reports)
  • Making sure all gear and equipment is compliant and in top condition
  • Supporting job pricing, resource assignment, and technical drawing interpretation
  • Providing clear direction and communication to your team
  • Coaching your team on performance, development, and safety

Experience:

You're someone who leads by example, keeps a cool head, and knows how to balance people leadership with technical know-how. We're after someone who has:

  • A strong background in electrical or utility field work (especially distribution networks)
  • Experience supervising crews and managing workloads
  • Solid understanding of health, safety, quality and environmental (HSQE) standards
-Strong planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills both with your team and clients
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and getting the job done right the first time
