We are on the hunt for an experienced Service Technician to join a leading HVAC service and maintenance team in Wellington.This is a key field role providing high-quality repairs, servicing, maintenance, installation, and commissioning of commercial and light commercial HVAC equipment across the Wellington region.
What you’ll earn
- $40 – $50 per hour (dependent on experience and qualifications)
- 40 hours per week
- Overtime opportunities
- On-call roster with attractive allowance
- Deliver prompt, professional repairs, servicing, maintenance, installation, and commissioning of commercial HVAC systems to the highest standards.
- Provide excellent customer service, including direct negotiation and problem resolution with clients.
- Complete accurate job documentation, update service records, and maintain service vehicle and tools to company standards.
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental procedures.
- Work collaboratively with the service team and report to the Regional Service Manager / Service Supervisor.
- Trade qualified (NZQA accredited HVAC/Refrigeration qualification)
- ‘D’ Permit Electrical License and CFC License (Refrigerant Handling)
- Minimum 5 years field experience as an Air Conditioning / HVAC Service Technician
- Current full New Zealand driver’s licence
- Permanent work rights in New Zealand (no visa sponsorship)
- Strong troubleshooting skills on commercial HVAC units
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- EST registration or additional electrical qualifications
- Experience with large commercial systems
- Supervisory or leadership experience
