Football/soccer academy coach
Rotorua
We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Football Coach to lead group training sessions for children aged 5–14. You’ll be responsible for delivering engaging, age-appropriate football sessions using equipment and session plans provided by Hollis football academy.
Sessions take place at various local fields, and coaches must transport the provided gear to and from each session, all sessions are pre planned and coaches are not required to think up session plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, fun, and structured football training sessions in a group setting
- Encourage participation, teamwork, and sportsmanship among all players
- Manage group dynamics effectively to maintain a safe and positive environment
- Communicate clearly with parents and caregivers when required
- Transport (own car, or ride) and care for coaching equipment provided by the company
- Arrive punctually and prepared for each session
Ideal Requirements:
- Experience coaching children, ideally in football or youth sports
- Previous or current playing experience in football (club, school, or recreational level)
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with a passion for youth development
- Ability to work independently and manage groups of children confidently
- Own reliable transport (required for transporting gear)
- Must pass a police vetting/background check
