Whakarewarewa – The Living Maori Village is getting ready for an awesome Summer 2025-2026. We are looking for new permanent and casual (on-call) kaimahi to join our fun, friendly Admissions Team. This includes general admissions team members and part-time/casual mahi that may suit someone busy with whanau, study or other responsibilities.

Our Admissions Team are the welcoming face of our organisation. They are the first point-of contact for manuhiri from around the motu and world, whether by phone, email or kanohi ki te kanohi. The Admissions team work together to provide a great visitor experience for all manuhiri who visit Whakarewarewa – The Living Maori Village.

Our team take pride in ensuring world-class customer service for our manuhiri by making every visit enjoyable and a showcase for our Village.

To be successful in this role you will bring:

  • A genuine, warm welcome for all manuhiri.
  • An interest in meeting and assisting manuhiri from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
  • Prior experience in booking systems, point of sale and retail, or the ability to learn new systems and processes.
  • A can-do, friendly and collaborative attitude.
  • A desire to authentically share our culture, values and manaakitanga with others.

Experience and Education
  • Knowledge of customer service or visitor experience.
  • Knowledge of booking systems, would be an advantage.
  • A relevant qualification that would support your ability to carry out the role.
  • An interest in tourism would be an advantage but is not essential.
