Accountant

Employment Type: Full-time (Monday to Friday, at least 30 hours per week)

A Rentals is a leading car rental company based at Auckland Airport, committed to providing exceptional service and reliable vehicles to our customers. As our business grows, we seek an experienced accountant to join our team and support our financial operations.

Fluency in both Mandarin and English is essential for this role, as well as proficiency in accounting software such as Xero.

• Prepare financial statements and reports for clients or company management.
• Record daily financial transactions, including money spent and received.
• Arrange payment of bills and accounts.
• Issue customer invoices and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Process and keep accurate records of all financial transactions.
• Develop, forecast, and monitor budgets, ensuring financial targets are met.
• Prepare and submit GST, PAYE, and other financial returns and tax forms.
• Advise on financial aspects of the business, including budgets, tax strategies, and cash flow management.
• Review and improve accounting procedures and analyse financial performance.
• Assist management with strategic planning, human resources, and financial decision-making.

• Full-time role, Monday to Friday, with at least 30 hours per week.
• Salary dependent on experience: $30-35 per hour.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero.
• Strong knowledge of finance, economics, and marketing.
• Understanding of business management practices, including business ethics.
• Experience with GST calculations and submissions in New Zealand.
• Accounting and mathematics skills.
• Fluency in both Mandarin and English.
