Essential requirements

• At least two years’ experience working in a food business
• Proven trustworthiness
• Having good teamwork
• Willingness to work flexible rosters and on weekends
• Excellent customer service

• Preparing broths, stews, noodles, meat and salads
• Marinating meat and filleting chicken
• Receive delivered goods and organise in storage room neatly
• Daily and weekly ordering of perishable and non-perishable foods
• Following set policies to maintain standards for food safety in all food preparation areas
• Batch-tasting food to ensure consistency and quality
• Taking out the rubbish and disposing of in correctly assigned bins provided by mall
• management
• keeping the kitchen clean and recording food temperatures
• Communicate with the head chef/owner and other team members when a problem arises to rectify any issues swiftly
• Examining foodstuffs to ensure quality
• Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment
• Preparing and cooking food
• Portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes
• Storing food in temperature-controlled storages
• Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements
• May plan menus and estimate food requirements
• May train other kitchen staff and apprentices
• Any other duties the owner may reasonably require

• As a valuable member of our team, you will have
• Full-time permanent employment, at least 30 hours/week
• Minimum wage $25/hour
• Maximum wage $30/hour (depending on experience and performance review)
