Masterton Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Machine Operator for a temporary position to support our Masterton project. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining heavy machinery used in road construction and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate various types of machinery such as bulldozers, graders, and excavators safely and efficiently.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspection of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
• Collaborate with the construction team to complete projects on schedule.
• Interpret and follow project plans and instructions from supervisors.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Machine Operator in road construction or a similar industry.
• Proficient in operating heavy machinery and equipment.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Minimum Class 2 RTW.

Preferred Skills:

• Certification or training in operating specific machinery.
• Experience with GPS or other machine control systems.
• Basic mechanical skills for equipment troubleshooting and minor repairs.

Duration:

Ongoing position with potential for extension based on project needs.
