About the Role
Are you highly organised, friendly, and ready to support a passionate early childhood education team? Little Diggers, is looking for an exceptional Centre Administrator to help keep our busy centre running smoothly and efficiently. If you have strong communication and organisational skills and enjoy working in a welcoming and friendly environment, this could be the perfect role for you.
As our Centre Administrator, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day operations of our centre. You'll be the welcoming face for our whanau and a vital member of our team. Your daily responsibilities will include:- Managing bookings and responding to parent inquiries
- Accurate data entry and maintaining parent accounts
- Processing payments and direct debits
- Meeting daily, weekly, and term deadlines
- Providing exceptional customer service and admin support
- Interacting with tamariki in our warm and friendly environment
- Maintaining accurate parent accounts, managing payments and direct debits
- Meeting regular reporting deadlines
- Using systems such as Word, Excel and Outlook confidently
- Supporting the teaching team and occasionally spending time with the children
You'll also have the full support of our Business support manager and senior administrator. Our detailed induction and ongoing training ensure you're confident in meeting Ministry of Education compliance requirements.
This is a permanent, part-time position working 6 hours per day across 5 days (Monday to Friday), Flexible hours between 9-3.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:- A natural team player with excellent communication skills
- Compassionate, approachable, and supportive with whanau
- Highly organised and detail-oriented
- Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, and general IT systems
- Experienced in admin or account processes (experience in ECE is a bonus)
- Confident in handling customer queries and going the extra mile
