Peel Forest Preschool is a community-based, not-for-profit ECE centre in the heart of Peel Forest Village. We have recently relicensed to allow us to now cater to under two-year-olds which means we are on the lookout for a passionate teacher to join our close-knit team.

We are licensed for 20 tamariki, have 4 amazing kaiako and can have up to 4 under two-year-olds. We currently have children under two enrolled 3 days/week, so this is a part time role that has the potential to increase as our roll grows.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking an ECE qualified and registered (full or provisional) teacher who:
  • Is genuinely passionate about early childhood education and making a difference
  • Values strong relationships with tamariki, whanau, and the teaching team
  • Is collaborative, flexible, and proactive in their approach
  • Has a solid understanding of Te Whariki and how to weave it into daily practice
  • Holds, or is willing to obtain, a first aid certificate (paid for by the centre)
  • Aligns with our philosophy and vision for child-led, nature-focused learning
