Role: Ophthalmology Registrar, based at Waikato Hospital Permanent Fulltime Have you completed PGY2 or equivalent? About the RoleOphthalmology has Non-Training Registrar roles suitable for doctors interested in extending their experience in this speciality. Prior experience is not necessary but familiarity with the slit lamp and taking intra-ocular pressure measurements is vital to the role.
Within a month you will be expected to be first on-call for eye acutes. The posts can be coordinated with the Greenlane Eye Dept to get six months experience in Hamilton and six months in Auckland. There will be a combined interview between Auckland and Waikato, but you need to apply to both regions if you are interested in opportunities at either DHB Apply online via this job listing.

It is the only major hospital in New Zealand to offer all surgical specialties on one campus and is the major trauma hospital for the Te Manawa Taki region.Located in Hamilton city, the third largest city in North Island; 1½ hours drive south of Auckland, and offers a superb lifestyle and quality-of-life working environment.
