Car Yard Sales Assistant
Are you a high-energy "people person"?** We're a fast-paced yard on Sandringham Road, and we’re looking for a motivated Sales Assistant to join our team. This is an entry-level position that could suit a motivated, friendly and proactive person, even if you don’t have automotive or sales experience.

**What you’ll do:**- Greet customers with a genuine smile and a fun personality.
- Help people find the right car to suit their needs and budget.
- Taking customers for test drives.
- Negotiating deals and following up with leads.
- Support the sales team in achieving monthly sales targets.
Keeping the yard looking sharp and the vehicles sparkling.
**What you’ll bring to the table:**
Personality over paperwork: We don't care about a fancy CV or years of experience. We want someone outgoing, proactive, and ready to make an awesome impression on our customers.- Work ethic: You are reliable, punctual and aren’t a stranger to hard work.
- A Can-Do Attitude: You're a quick learner who isn't afraid to take initiative.
- Negotiation Skills: You can close a deal while keeping customers happy.
- Commitment: We’re open Monday - Sunday, 9:00 am - 6:00 pm. Ideally, you’ll work these hours six days a week, but we could offer a bit of roster flexibility for the right person.
- Fluent in English with strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Auto-enthusiast in the making: You have a basic knowledge of vehicle models and automotive features.
- A Valid License: An NZ driver's license is desirable.
- Experience in automotive sales or retail sales.
- Basic understanding of vehicle finance and insurance (training can be provided).
- Base Pay: A $25/hour base wage.
- Commission: Commission starts in your second month. You’ll earn from the vehicle sales, plus add-ons like mechanical warranties.
- Career Path: We want you to grow with us. There is a path to move into a Sales Manager role if you hit your targets, demonstrate commitment and get results!
- Full Training: We have our own procedures and will teach you everything you need to know to do a great job.
