You will join a diverse and dynamic Internal Medicine team of 13 physicians with a range of sub-specialties, providing medical services to our community.
This role is made up of inpatient and outpatient clinical responsibilities as well as dedicated time reserved for administrative tasks.You will also take part in an acute General Medicine on-call roster with registrar support.
We are keen to hear from consultants with a broad internal medicine background who may be dual trained; our team will support your interest in the relevant service.
We would be particularly interested in hearing from consultants with expertise in Rheumatology and Endocrine/Diabetes among other sub specs.
About the HospitalTe Pae Hauora o Ruahine o Tararua- MidCentral is a 350-bed hospital in the city of Palmerston North, Manawatū, a city in the Lower North Island of New Zealand.
Palmerston North Hospital is a secondary hospital and offers most medical and surgical specialties with the exception of Cardiothoracic, Plastic and Neurosurgery.
The hospital serves a local population of 180,000 but is the base for a regional head and neck oncology service which has responsibility for a population of 550,000 and draws patients from Whanganui, Taranaki, and Hawke's Bay.Employing over 2500 people, MidCentral offers a supportive work environment that accepts and values all employees.
