From March 2026, eligibility will extend to those aged 58-74.
The MidCentral NBSP covers Palmerston North, Manawatū, Tararua, Horowhenua, and Ōtaki.This role is pivotal in supporting increased participation and reducing inequities in coverage for priority populations
  • particularly Māori, Pasifika, and those living in areas of high deprivation).About the RoleAs Health Promoter, you will:Work alongside the Māori Health Promoter for Bowel Screening to strengthen relationships with Iwi, Māori health providers, and Pacific health providers.Deliver a co-ordinated programme of promotion, engagement, participation, and retention of eligible Māori and Pasifika into the NBSP.Be part of a multidisciplinary team supported by Te Uru Mātai Matengau (Cancer, Screening, Treatment and Support Cluster) and Pae Ora Paiaka Whaiora (Māori Health Directorate).Be based at Breast Screening Coast to Coast (BSCC).Role DetailsHours: Flexible, Monday-Friday, with some weekend work requiredTravel: Required within the MidCentral rohe (overnight visits possible but unlikely)About youYou're passionate about improving health outcomes for Māori and Pasifika communities.
