About the Role:

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for managing the accounting function of the company as well as implementing and streamlining processes, procedures, and reporting. The candidate must be well versed in general accounting including Accounts payable & receivable, cashflow management, payroll and tax administration requirements.

It is the perfect position for someone with a keen eye for detail.

Pay rate offered will be between $25-$30 per hour, based on work experience.

Key Responsibilities in this role:

  • Manage and oversee accounting systems and GL structure.
  • Ownership of the financial reporting process.
  • Processing month-end financial statements and financial analysis
  • Prepare detailed analyses of key customer and supplier transactions.
  • Monitor and report on cashflow and balance sheet.
  • Preparation of annual operating budgets.
  • Support with risk management, insurance and tax compliance
  • Manage company accounting system including invoicing, creditor and debtor control, payments to suppliers and reconciliation of bank accounts.
  • Prepare tax returns and filing (GST, PAYE and Income tax)
  • Demonstrate office leadership.
  • Liaising with Auditors, financial institutions and authorities.
  • Other ad hoc duties as required.

Candidate Requirements:

  • CA/CPA or Similar Accounting body membership (or working towards it).
  • Knowledge of financial accounting standards and reporting practices
  • Relevant experience of 3 years preferred in an Accounting and Administrative role.
  • Excellent organizational, Planning skills and ability to prioritize.
  • Proficiency in Accounting software. XERO Preferred.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of Accuracy and Confidentiality
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Experience in construction related companies would be advantageous.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work under pressure.
Some availability to work weekends and after office hours from time to time.
