Courier driver - Christchurch

We currently have a Courier Driver position available in Christchurch for the right person and can offer an immediate start with full-time hours, with a minimum of 30 hours per week on offer.

For the successful applicant we can offer:

• $27.00 per hour, to be paid weekly
• Full-time employment for at least 30 hours per week
• Great working environment with friendly staff

To be successful you will need to be a proactive person who is willing to work hard and perform your duties with the diligence that the role requires. You will also need to demonstrate that you can perform the following duties, for which you will be accountable as part of the role:

• Load, unload, and transport packages and goods.
• Plan and follow the most efficient routes.
• Operate and maintain a delivery vehicle.
• Ensure packages are delivered & collected safely and on time.
• Obtain signatures and provide proof of delivery.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies.

To be considered for this position you will need to meet the below requirements:

• Valid full driver licence
• Clean driving record
• Dangerous Goods Licence
• Ability to lift and carry packages
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to read maps and use GPS
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• At least six months of proven, relevant work experience
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate good work ethic
