knit teamHugely varied office role including accounts, general admin and much more!Fixed Term Parental Leave Cover until March 2026Mō te tūnga | About the roleTo cover parental leave for one of our team, we are looking for an Administration Support Officer on a fixed term basis through to March 2026.

Based within the Regional Administration Building on the outskirts of Christchurch Men's Prison in Templeton, you will do a varied role encompassing accounts and office support.The below provides a snapshot of what a day might look like but does not cover it all:Set up, management of and receipting for Prisoner Trust AccountsAccounts payable including reconciliations, receiving inwards goods, maintaining inventory, regular stock takes and moreGeneral admininstration including telephone support, processing incoming mail including prisoner mail, couriers, copying, filing and morePayroll support that will include collecting timesheets, assisting managers with leave information and overtime data, support management responding to HR queriesFinancial support including general ledger reconciliations, receipting of goods, purchasing, financial reports, month end reports and accruals plus a lot moreMōu | About you We are looking for someone with a go getter attitude and who is able to showcase their skills and experience in the following areas:Sound computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office products, especially ExcelGood written and oral communications skillsExcellent time management silks and a keen eye for detailThe ability to maintain a high level of confidentialityWorking in a team environment as well as autonomouslyWillingness to undertake and complete a varied range of administrative tasksA good level of physical fitness is also essential to unload pallets of consumables/stock/stationery and supplies as well as delivering items across the siteFull NZ Drivers Licence If you enjoy a variety of tasks, like getting out from behind a desk sometimes but also have some accounts and general office expertise then this could be a great option for you.

$68,434 per annum pro rata.
