We are seeking a skilled and reliable Automotive Technician with a current WOF (Warrant of Fitness) Certification to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing vehicle inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs, with a strong focus on ensuring vehicles meet all safety and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Diagnose repair & service petrol and diesel vehicles across a wide range of makes and models.
- Conduct general vehicle servicing and repairs (brakes, suspension, engines, etc.)
- Perform WOF inspections in accordance with NZTA regulations
- Complete job cards, inspection sheets, and service reports accurately
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Stay up-to-date with automotive technology and NZTA regulations
- Current WOF Certification (NZTA approved) – essential
- Relevant automotive trade qualification (e.g., National Certificate in Motor Industry)
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in automotive repair and servicing
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, to identify faults in engines, transmissions, steering, suspension & electrical systems
- Valid New Zealand driver’s license (Full Class 1)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
