Diesel Automotive Technician- Christchurch
About the role
As a Diesel Automotive Technician at Keith Andrews Trucks Ltd, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing the diesel-powered vehicles that are the lifeblood of our business. This full-time position is based in our Christchurch dealership, where you will use your expertise to keep our business operating at peak performance.
What you'll be doing- Diagnose and repair diesel engine faults and malfunctions
- Carry out scheduled servicing and maintenance on diesel trucks and heavy equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of diesel engine technology and its associated components
- Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with clients
- Maintain detailed records of all work completed
- Contribute to a safe and efficient workshop environment
- A minimum L4 Qualification in diesel automotive technician with a minimum of 3 years' experience
- Drivers License Class 1, 2, 4 & 5 ideally
- Strong technical skills and proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Good communication skills and customer service orientation
- Commitment to safety and compliance with industry regulations
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
