Experienced Caregiver | Full-Time Permanent | Alden Rhapsody, New Plymouth
Provide compassionate, professional care that makes residents feel safe, valued, and supported every day.
We are currently looking for someone that is available for weekends, it could be a mixture of AM and PM from week to week.And picking up any vacant shifts.
About the role
Provide high-quality overnight care that supports residents' safety, comfort, and dignity. You'll work closely with the Registered Nurse and team to ensure smooth, consistent care across your shift.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver respectful, compassionate personal care
- Support residents with mobility and overnight needs
- Monitor wellbeing and report changes promptly
- Maintain accurate documentation and handovers
- Uphold safe practices and Tikanga Maori principles
- Play a vital role in residents' safety and comfort
- Work in a values-led, resident-focused environment
- Be part of a respectful and close-knit team
Skills & experience
To succeed in this role, you'll have:
- Proven caregiving experience, ideally in aged care
- NZ recognised Caregiver qualification (preferred)
- Confidence working night shifts independently
- Strong understanding of Health & Disability Sector Standards
- Calm, reliable, and professional approach
- NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa (we are unable to provide visa support for this role)
