We are currently seeking an experienced and safety-focused Hydroexcavation Truck Driver / Operator to join our team working across multiple Three Waters infrastructure projects in the Waikato region.If you enjoy operating modern equipment, working outdoors, and being part of essential water infrastructure projects, this is a great opportunity to secure ongoing work with a reputable civil construction team.

About the Role
You will be responsible for operating a hydroexcavation (vacuum) truck to safely expose underground services on active water, wastewater, and stormwater construction sites. The role involves both driving and operating the unit, working closely with site supervisors and civil crews.

Key Responsibilities- Safe operation of hydroexcavation/vacuum truck
- Driving truck to and between sites across the Waikato
- Locating and exposing underground utilities using non-destructive digging methods
- Maintaining equipment and completing daily pre-start checks
- Following site plans and communicating with site teams
- Ensuring strict adherence to health & safety procedures
- General labouring support as required
What We’re Looking For
- Class 4 driver’s licence (Class 5 advantageous)
- WTR endorsements preferred
- Previous hydroexcavation or vacuum truck experience highly desirable
- Experience in civil construction or Three Waters projects
- Strong understanding of underground services and safe excavation practices
- Reliable, physically fit, and able to work in a team
- Strong commitment to health & safety
