Floor installers Wanted

We are a well-established flooring company based in Auckland. We are looking for 6 full-time (guaranteed minimum 30 hours per week, Monday to Saturday, rotating roaster) permanent floor installers to join our team and work in Auckland region.

Tasks Include:

• Setting up the job site and preparing the surface and layouts with the instruction of the skilled tradesmen
• Cutting and shaping floor covering materials to the specification
• Cleaning the construction sites for floor covering
• Setting up the underlay materials
• Laying, fitting, installing, and repairing floors using woodworking machines, hand tools, or power tools
• Helping skilled tradesmen with their work whenever necessary
• Identifying hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair
• Loading or unloading building supplies, materials, and tools
• Using equipment, machinery & tools in a responsible & safe manner
• Follow safety rules and regulations to complete jobs in a safe manner
• Clean job site once the work is done and clean tools

Although onsite training will be provided, the successful applicant must have one of the following:

• At least 2 years relevant experience in the same field/industry, or
• A NZ Level 4 and above qualification or equivalent qualifications/certificates

We offer a competitive salary of $28 - 32/hour depending on your personal skills and experiences.
