Seeking two Chef in Auckland to work for business permanently.
A desirable candidate should be:
Have 2 years’ relevant work experience.
Positive, punctual, honest, good at teamwork.
The minimum rate of pay is $29/hour-$30/hour, the minimum hour of work is 30 hours per week, 5 days a week.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Plan menu and daily specials for sale.
- Prepare and cook food.
- Order food supplies for restaurant.
- Monitor all food costs and operating expenses.
- Ensure food quality and presentation is of the highest level.
- Liaise with manager, and other staff to ensure food quality and service is to the appropriate standard.
- Train staff on correct cooking procedures for various food types.
- Ensure staff are familiar with correct food storage technics and health regulations.
- Store and save food as per standard procedures.
- Portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes
- Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements.
- Seasoning food during cooking.
- Ensure all OSH and Health regulations are maintained on the premises.
