We're The English Craftsman, a specialist timber joinery business known for our handcrafted double-glazed windows and doors — designed and built with care in our Trentham workshop.

We’re on the lookout for an experienced carpenter, builder or window installer to lead our installations across the Wellington region. If you're someone who takes pride in your work, gets the details right, and thrives in a role with freedom and respect — read on.

• Liaising with our workshop and General Manager to plan each job
• Collecting bespoke timber joinery from the workshop and transporting it to site
• Setting up safely and tidily – including minor scaffolding and protecting client property
• Installing frames and sashes to NZ Building Code
• Fitting double-glazed units into timber sashes
• Mentoring an assistant installer to boost site efficiency
• Keeping a clean, respectful work site – clients love that about us

• Solid carpentry or window installation experience
• Positive, can-do attitude — qualifications are less important than skill and mindset
• Confidence communicating with clients and representing our brand
• Tidy presentation and pride in workmanship
• Ability to work independently and take the lead onsite
