About the Role
We have a full time Credit Control & Assistant Accountant opportunity available based in either Wiri or Thames.
You'll be responsible for managing the Accounts Receivable & Credit Control function, managing customer account set ups, credit limits and other related tasks as well as providing day-to-day administrative payroll support for the business across the Group's entities both in Australia & New Zealand.
To be considered you will need 5+ years experience in an accounts receivable, credit control, or similar accounting role. Due to the level of complexity in the role, you will also need experience with Australian and/or New Zealand Accounting in a corporate environment.
About you:- Solid understanding of Accounting Principles.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite of programmes and advanced MS Excel Skills
- Experience working with datasets and spreadsheets
- Demonstrates strong ownership of the payroll process, ensuring all stages - from data gathering to final
- Highly organised with excellent time management ability; able to prioritise tasks, manage time effectively to ensure deadlines and KPIs are met
- Exceptional communication (written and verbal) skills; able to convey ideas, expectations, and information and convey a highly confident phone manner
- Exceptional customer service skills
- A very high level of attention to detail
- A high level of corporate and personal presentation, professional integrity & confidentiality
- A desire to develop a high level of understanding of geosynthetics and the design function they provide
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic
- Proactive and takes initiative
- Able to coordinate effectively with other team members

- Approachable and positive interpersonal skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong, open, and collaborative relationships across all levels
- Accountancy and/or Credit Qualification
- Prior payroll experience
- Experience using Zeno (or similar expense management platforms) or willingness to become the in-house expert for company platforms like Zeno
- Experience with NetSuite
- Knowledge of employment laws and laws relating to commercial credit and PPSR / PPSA
