About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse to join the Cardiology Cath Labs team as a Charge Nurse Manager.

The Charge Nurse Manager is responsible for co-ordinating nursing activity in the Cath Labs and Cardiology Day Ward area, facilitating and promoting excellence in nursing care and working in collaboration with Service/Nursing Leadership and the other Leaders across the Cardiology Service.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Weekday working hours ' no on-call component
  • Responsibility for daily operational management, patient flow, and coordination of nursing resources
  • Providing leadership and guidance
  • Orientation and support provided

About the Service

Our service provides acute and planned cardiac care locally and regionally. Our unit currently has two operational Catheter labs and planning is underway to expand the service which will include a third lab due to open shortly, resulting in changes in our models of care.

About you

This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident nursing leader who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. We are looking for a collaborative and innovative individual with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to make effective decisions under pressure.

  • Senior Nurse with recent cardiology or medical experience
  • Advanced clinical knowledge and leadership skills
  • Experience managing complex situations
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and time management skills
  • Confidence working independently and in multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to build strong working relationships
  • Competent computer/documentation skills
  • Hold a relevant Post Graduate qualification
  • Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC)
