About the Role As a Medical Registrar at Whakatāne Hospital, you will be part of a dedicated team providing secondary care to a population of over 50,000 people in the Eastern Bay of Plenty.
This role offers the chance to build strong generalist skills in a supportive and multicultural environment, ideal for those who enjoy variety and close patient engagement.The hospital is a 110-bed facility and provides an excellent opportunity to work closely with consultants across multiple specialties.

About the Team/Service Whakatāne Hospital is one of two hospitals within Te Whatu Ora- Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty and is located approximately 90km from the larger Tauranga Hospital.
The hospital serves a diverse and multicultural community, with a significant Māori population and a strong focus on health equity and culturally responsive care.
