About the Role

We are seeking a Director of Technology based in Auckland for a fixed term period of 12 months. This is an outcome-driven role focused on delivering measurable technology transformation. The successful applicant will take full ownership of the current technology landscape, rapidly identify inefficiencies, and execute a clear, prioritised plan to optimise systems, improve data capability, and enable the business to operate more effectively.

The Director of Technology is responsible for leading and transforming Hind Management’s technology and data environment into a structured, efficient, and value-driven capability that supports operational excellence and future growth. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused leadership role, with a strong emphasis on execution with strategic foresight.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the end-to-end technology and data landscape across all properties and functions
  • Conduct a full review of existing systems, vendors, integrations, and spend
  • Establish clear governance frameworks for systems, data, and decision-making
  • Lead the execution of critical initiatives
  • Take ownership of all technology vendor relationships
  • Drive adoption of systems and processes across all properties
  • Develop AI Strategy (including establishing a governance framework for AI) and drive adoption

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a senior technology leadership role delivering transformation outcomes
  • Experience working in multi-site or operational environments (hospitality, retail, healthcare)
  • Strong experience with core business systems, integrations, and data platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to clean up and optimise fragmented environments
  • Strong commercial acumen and vendor management experience
  • Ability to deliver outcomes within defined timeframes
  • Highly execution-focused and outcome-driven
  • Hands-on, pragmatic, and decisive
  • Strong prioritisation and delivery capability
  • Influential communicator across all levels of the business
  • Comfortable challenging the status quo and driving change
