At Tui HQ, we don’t just pour beer - we create legendary experiences. Since 1889, we’ve been a must-stop for locals, road-trippers, and anyone chasing a great pint. With expertly poured beers, a café showcasing fresh local flavours, vibrant events, functions, and our iconic garden bar, this place hums five days a week.

Now we’re looking for an Experience Manager (Venue Manager) — someone ready to step up, lead from the front, and take ownership of the full Tui HQ experience.

What you’ll be doing: This is your chance to move beyond service and into true leadership - owning the floor, the team, and the experience.

You’ll be the engine room behind Tui HQ, leading both front of house and kitchen teams, keeping operations sharp, and ensuring every guest leaves with a story worth telling.

Day to day, you’ll:
  • Run the bar, café, functions, events, and overall guest experience like a well-poured pint
  • Lead, coach, and motivate a lively, diverse hospitality team
  • Manage rosters, training, and performance (the full people piece)
  • Keep a close eye on stock, budgets, and overhead costs
  • Oversee functions and events as the key liaison for bookings
  • Ensure everything runs smoothly with health & safety and liquor licensing
What we’re looking for:

You might already be leading, or you might be a strong hospitality professional who’s ready to step up - either way, this is your opportunity to grow into a confident, capable leader.

You’ll bring:
  • Solid hospitality experience in bars and/or restaurants (2+ years experience essential)
  • Availability to work Tuesday to Saturday 9–5pm, including Friday evenings and the occasional Sunday (no brutal late nights or early starts — told you this wasn’t your average hospo role)
  • A genuine desire to lead people and grow your leadership capability
  • A current Duty Manager’s Certificate or the ability to obtain one
  • Conference, function, and event experience
  • Confidence running busy services and juggling competing priorities
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure
