We are seeking of an experienced and enthusiastic Café and Restaurant Manager to join our team! We are open 7 days a week for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. We are seeking a talented and dedicated Restaurant / Cafe Manager to oversee our vibrant restaurant and café.As the heart and soul of our establishment, you will play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional dining experiences for our valued guests. Join us in creating memorable moments through delightful food, warm service, and a welcoming ambiance.
Hours of workThis is a permanent role with Minimum 35 to 40 hours per week.
Due to the nature of this role the successful candidate will need to be able to work evening shifts and weekends.
- Location of the job is Alpine Centre Cafe & Bar Te Anau, Southland.
- Pay Banding: $25 - $30 per hour depending on experience
- Lead and manage day-to-day operations of the restaurant and café, including staff supervision, customer service, and quality control.
- Planning menus in consultation with Chefs.
- Develop and implement effective strategies to enhance overall performance, profitability, and guest satisfaction.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety in compliance with regulations.
- Foster positive relationships with customers, addressing feedback and resolving any concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure smooth coordination between the front and back of the house.
- Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and optimize supply management for seamless operations.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and implement innovative ideas to attract and retain patrons.
- Conferring with customers to assess their satisfaction with meals and service
- May take reservations, greet guests and assist in taking orders
- Should have at least one year experience.
