CNC Press Brake Operator's – Sheet Metal Department required for both our Day Shift and Night Shift

We are NZ’s leading manufacturer of specialist vehicles and motorhomes. With a busy workload and an exciting future ahead of us at our Hamilton manufacturing facility, we have vacancy's for CNC Press Brake Operator's in our Sheet Metal Department.

REQUIREMENTS

Education or experience: Trade certificate or 3 years equivalent CNC Press Brake Operator experience

Key Criteria:

• Qualifications or experience operating CNC machinery – Ideally a largescale production laser
• Complex sheet metal programming skills
• Advance knowledge of materials and associated cutting conditions
• Good computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Products.
• Great problem solver, with attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Team player with a positive attitude and great communication skills
• Are physically fit
• Strong work ethic, honest and reliable, tidy and punctual
• An understanding of production processes and techniques in the manufacturing sector
• Are committed to and have a pro-active attitude towards Health and Safety

• Understand the specification of the assembled or fabricated part through blueprints and mechanical drawings
• Changing the CNC machine setup when required (axis, clamping etc) and by loading the new computer programme
• Prepare and load raw material and parts onto the machine
• Prepare test runs as required, to check outputs are according to specification
• Oversee the CNC machine while it executes the programmed tasks, and make necessary adjustments if need be
• Quality inspect and measure finished products and check against required specifications

• Competitive starting rates based on experience or skillset
• Work hours are - Day Shift ; Monday to Thursday 7.00am to 4.30pm and Fridays 7.00am to 11.00am
• Night Shift: Monday to Thursday 4.00pm to 2.30am
• Overtime sometimes available
