Place of Work
Building sites and private homes around Canterbury. This role involves traveling for up to 4 nights at a time. During these trips your driving time, food and accommodation is all paid for.Please do not apply for this role if you cannot travel from time to time.
Right now roughly 50% of your work will be away from Canterbury (which changes seasonally like Bay of Plenty, Tasman, Nelson, West Coast, Otago, Auckland ) and while we work hard to get the set job finished - after work there is heaps to do like hunting, gold panning or fishing.
The job entails:
-Installing ceiling and under-floor insulation into existing homes- Being paid well, because we know its hard, dirty work.
- Some houses will require black plastic to be installed on the ground
- Paid travel for up to 4 nights in a row
This role would suit someone looking to join a great team who takes pride in their work. Prior experience in or around Insulation Installing is preferable but we are willing to consider anyone with the right attitude and willingness to get stuck in.
The work will vary from commercial to residential projects. Having reliable transport and a can-do attitude are key to achieving a long-term opportunity.

Major Duties
Retro Fit of Existing Homes with the following Insulation, 1. Installing ceiling insulation, 2. Installing underfloor Insulation, 3. Installing polythene ground cover, 4. Installing weather excluders, 5. Installing hot water cylinder wraps and piping lagging.
Installing New Residential Homes and Commercial Buildings with the following Insulation, 1. Installing Ceiling Insulation- Installing Wall Insulation
- Installing Internal acoustic wall Insulation
- Installing Internal Midfloor acoustic Insulation 5. Installing Underfloor Insulation (As required) 6. Other work as required.
- Keep track of tools used on each site
- Record quantities of product removed from stock and installed on site,
- Advise the company of any product requirements, materials, and any repair and
- Unloading containers, delivery of product, store room housekeeping, and stock
- Read and sign hazard forms for each site
