Panel Beater and Automotive Spray Painter

We are currently looking for an experienced panel beater and an experienced automotive spray painter to join our team.
Key Tasks and Skills required for the Panel Beater role will include:
- Remove and replace parts to access repairs to allow for painting
- Align and reshape damaged panels and frames
- Replace sections of vehicles and weld in replacements following manufacturers' instructions
- Repair and replace damaged vehicles to manufacturer standards.
- Experience in structural repairs
- Apply strong knowledge of panel beating methods and materials
- Provide high-quality workmanship with a keen attention to detail.
Key Tasks and Skills required for the Automotive Spray Painter role will include:
- Preparing new and used Vehicles for Painting
- Paint Vehicles in accordance to processes and procedures
- Sand, mask, and prime surfaces prior to painting
- Mix and match paint colours to achieve a flawless match
- Be competent at Vehicle Paint Finishing eg. Cut & Polish, Paint Correction etc
- Be competent with Paint Application
- Inspect finished products for quality and ensure they meet company standards
- Waterbased experience would be ideal
- A clean full-driver license
- Panel beater or Automotive Spray Painter certification, or at least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
- A can-do attitude
- Consistently produce a high standard of work
- Thorough knowledge of automotive industry safety specifications and regulations.
- A good sense of humour
- Able to adapt to changing priorities
We are a small - medium business and have a young family ourselves, so we understand the importance of flexibility. Hours and days can be negotiated, and overtime is available.
The pay rate is competitive and negotiable depending on skill and experience.
