Solid Surface Benchtop Fabricator - Full Time
Kapiti Benchtops is a well-established, locally owned business manufacturing high-quality, custom-made benchtops across the Kapiti Coast and surrounding areas since 1998. We pride ourselves on excellent workmanship, attention to detail and outstanding customer service.
We manufacture laminate, granite, engineered stone and porcelain benchtops - all fabricated on-site in our Otaki workshop.
About the Role:We are seeking a reliable and motivated person to join our solid surface fabrication team in a full-time position. You'll be working alongside an experienced and supportive crew in a stable, reputable business.
This role includes:- Workshop-based fabrication using machinery and hand-held tools
- Templating and installation of benchops on-site (requires heavy lifting)
- Occasional interaction with customers
- Reliable and punctual
- Motivated with a strong work ethic and great time management
- A good team player
- Detail-oriented with high workmanship standards
- Positive with a great attitude
- Confident following instructions and operating machinery
- Able to communicate clearly with both co-workers and customers
- Health and safety conscious
- Full NZ Driver Licence (must be able to drive manual vehicles)
- Forklift Licence preferred but not essential
Experience in solid surface fabrication or joinery is preferred, but not essential. We are willing to train the right person with the right attitude.
