Our Court Security Officers are a valued and important part of the Court Justice system. You will form part of a professional, supportive team where diversity and individuality are respected.Overview of role:Welcome and engage with a diverse range of people who enter our courts.Assess potential health, safety, and security risks and mitigate and respond to incidents as they occur.Interact with other agencies such as Police and Corrections to ensure smooth court operations.Patrol public areas, conduct building security checks, respond to duress alarm activations, and identify and respond appropriately to security incidents.Assist other regional courts with their operations, which may require Court Security Officers to commence work prior to the usual 8am start time.This is a 40
-hour-a-week role with some paid overtime available when extra cover is required.You will also be required to work a minimum 3-hour shift on Saturdays on a rotational basis.Learn more about our work in Court Security in this video.

Utu ā-tau/SalaryThe remuneration band for this role is $59,729- $80,794 - the appointing salary will be based on skills and experience.
