Duty Manager / Team Leader - Christchurch

Duty Manager leading Front of house team and working closely with back of house is required to be confident in running sections and navigate through both busy service and down time checklists; be adaptable at bar and understand customer point of view and eager to learn more to be trained up as senior DM.
Duty Manager responsibilities include:
- Operations: Lead with clear sections and responsibilities, achieve goals per shift. Observe and record, report feedback from customers and teams.
- People Management: Ensuring excellent customer experience, food and service standards are well on track. Brief, debrief and constant retrain team as per standard. Follow up position goals, supervise team standards and performance. Lead by example.
- Admin: invoice and stock, delivery and daily &weekly reports of teams' and operations'. Checklists completed thoroughly by the teams. Report from FCP, training, checklist, to reviews, invoices.
- Financial: forecast daily on roster and adjust accordingly, cost, wastage, ordering, breaks management. Marketing of business offering in the venue and upsell services.
Ultimately, you will ensure all operations flow smoothly and help meet the team goals on the shift you lead, one shift at a time. Asian culture/food knowledge is a bonus however training will be provided.
Tips from customers will be distributed to the team plus rewards towards excellence in operational and service standards. Please note to be considered for our Duty Manager roles you will have at least 2 years minimum hospitality (food & beverage) experience and should have already completed your LCQ, however should you meet the relevant experience criteria but not have an LCQ please get in touch as we may be willing to support standouts applicants in this process.
